THE DEMAND
Gilbert Development Company based in Hurricane UT, rented a trench padding machine to be used on one of the many Solar Field projects that they were engaged in developing. The unit was not nearly large enough to handle the extensive amount of material that Gilbert needed to process in order to make the rental profitable. Gilbert Development now had to resource a machine that would fulfill their requirements and give them a competitive edge in the market.
THE SOLUTION
Gilbert Development contacted Crusher Rental & Sales, also based in Hurricane, UT to discuss their situation and conceptual process that they envisioned. CR&S, who are manufacturers of portable crushing, screening and conveying equipment as well as a custom metal fabrication supplier, designed a scaled down version model to reflect the operational concept. Initial testing of the model unit proved to be successful. Through joint venture between Gilbert Development and CR&S, a full size prototype unit began to evolve. Today the prototype unit is complete and full operational testing is in process.
THE OPPORTUNITY
